What the source can establish
Search a date range wider than the expected event, because weekly publication schedules and delayed reports can shift the appearance date. OCR is especially unreliable with narrow columns, damaged paper, decorative type, and surnames. Browse issue images when keyword searches fail, and save the newspaper title, issue date, page, column, repository, and stable link.
